How to Access our Grants

Step 1: Send us an executive summary of your request.

            The executive summary should contain the following information:

  • Brief history and background of your organisation;
  • The project for which you are requesting funds;
  • A project budget as well as the amount you are requesting from the DGMT;
  • A copy of your NPO (Non-Profit Organisation) certificate and, if applicable, your PBO (Public Benefit Organisation) letter from SARS (South African Revenue Services);

This executive summary should be no longer than 3 pages (including the budget).

Step 2: Wait for our response.

Once we have received your executive summary, our Appeals Review Committee which meets regularly will review your request.  Should your request fall within our focus areas, we will send you a detailed application form to complete.

Step 3: Complete the application form in full and attach all the requested                              documentation.

PLEASE NOTE that each application form is project specific and has its own unique reference number and can therefore only be used once and cannot be copied.
